I am Shahidul Islam Russell, a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant.
I am a bachelor in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University UK. Born in Chittagong I was raised in my home in a small hillside village Next to the beautiful Hathazari Bhatiyali Link road which is one of the best in kind criss crossed though hills and lakes!
During my post graduation and post qualification of ACCA, I served in a small accounting firm in London for 2 years time before I decided to come back to BD after spending almost 8 years in UK.
Though challenging,I have paved my place in professional career through joining KPMG Dhaka office, formerly known as Rahman Rahman Haque from 2012 till 2015.
Afterwards,I have joined one of the best known MNC Linde Bangladesh (formerly known as BOC) as a manager in Planning and Budgeting in 2015.
In 2018, at Linde I was picked by Managing Director to report directly to him to serve as a Business Analyst to MD.
In mid 2019, I have joined Brenntag Bangladesh which is a German Multinational operates in more than 86 countries as a Finance Controller. Subsequent in early 2022, I have been appointed as Cluster Finance lead for 4 countries includes Bangladesh, Korea, Philippines and Indonesia.
I am happily married person with 2 children, elder one is a boy and the younger one is just 3 months old daughter. My wife is a service holder at The City Bank who has completed her Masters in English.
I currently decide in Gulshan Dhaka and my workplace is in Kawranbazar.
It is always my genuine intention to join in social causes within my best possible effort even if it requires going out of comfort zone.
Parveen Mahmud aunty is my true inspiration on both professional and social aspects which motivated me join Lions Club.
